Fair of Ségou
Since its creation, the Festival sur le Niger Foundation has been contributing to the promotion of the local economy in the Ségou region through its LED (local economic development) program. This is how she initiated, on the sidelines of the Festival on Niger since 2005, an artisanal and agricultural fair with its partners to promote the creativity of Ségou artisans and the agri-food industry.
This fair aims to create a bridge between culture and economy through art crafts and creativity and consists of creating a market through the organization of an exhibition-sale, the enhancement and promotion of art and agri-food craft products for the benefit of economic actors and populations.
It is a space for exchange, sharing of experiences, promotion and enhancement of local products.
Thus, for a week, on the banks of the Niger River, the imagination and creativity of about 400 local, national and elsewhere artisans and creators from about twenty countries in the West African sub-region and elsewhere coexist.
The 21th edition of the Foire de Ségou will take place from 03 to February 10, 2025, at the quai des arts, site of the Festival on Niger. We expect 250,000 visitors during the duration of the Fair with a turnover of about 600 million FCFA.
To succeed in this edition, special emphasis will be placed on the quality of exhibition stands with dimensions that meet conventional standards (9m² for ordinary stands and 18m² for VIPs) with all amenities.
This vital fair for the local, national, or even sub-regional economy is a salvation and an opportunity for local actors and elsewhere.
